China summoned the U.S. ambassador대사 in Beijing on Sunday to lodge(공공 기관당국에 이의 등을) 제기[제출]하다  a "strong protest" over the arrest of a Chinese technology executive in Canada and the American demand that she be extradited<외국의 도주 범인을 본국에> 넘겨주다, 송환하다 to the United States to stand trial on fraud사기, 기만 charges. China called the arrest of Meng Wanzhou, the telecom giant Huawei Technologies's chief financial officer최고 재무 책임자, "extremely bad." French President Emmanuel Macron will address the nation on Monday in response to the so-called "yellow vest(방탄복·구명복 등의 특정 용도용) 상의, 조끼" protesters who held massive demonstrations across the country for the past four weekends. Charlie Rowley, who is 45 years old, fell ill in June near Salisbury, England, after coming into contact with…와 접촉하다, 만나다 the nerve agent that was used months earlier to attack former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter. Rowley, Skripal and his daughter survived, but Rowley's partner Dawn Sturgess, who was also exposed, died in the hospital. Rowley told The Sunday Mirror newspaper that he was back in the hospital for treatment치료, 처치, but he was going blind and unable to use one arm.

President Trump says his top aide보좌관, chief of staff수석 보좌관 John Kelly, will be leaving at the end of the year. Associated Press correspondent Ben Thomas reports. When John Kelly took the job as chief of staff a year and a half ago, President Trump made this prediction: "General Kelly will go down in terms of the position of chief of staff, one of the great ever.” He had early success credited with imposing order on a chaotic West Wing웨스트 윙(미국 대통령 관저인 백악관 서쪽 별관을 지칭하는 별칭) after his arrival in June, 2017. That included ending an open-door policy문호 개방 정책 to the Oval Office(백악관의) 대통령 집무실. House Speaker Paul Ryan calls Kelly "a force for order, clarity and good sense." But Kelly's iron fist엄격, 압제, 가혹 alienated멀어지게[소원하게] 만들다 some longtime Trump allies and he grew increasingly isolated with an increasingly diminished role. As for the president, however, he still describes Kelly this way: "He is a great guy.” No official word yet on a successor but Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, Nick Ayers, is reportedly Trump's top choice to replace Kelly. "I'll be announcing that over the next day or two.”

A key U.S. lawmaker said Sunday that Democrats in the House of Representatives하원 could pursue impeachment탄핵 proceedings against President Trump. Congressman Jerrold Nadler, a New York Democrat who will become chairman of the House Judiciary Committee하원 법사위원회 when Democrats take control of장악하다, 지배하다 the chamber의회 next month, told CNN that Trump had "surrounded himself with crooks[비격식]사기꾼" and was part of a broad "conspiracy음모, 모의 against the American people" to win the 2016 election.
